Having a Makeup Bag is a Must
Having a Makeup Bag is a Must
When it comes to makeup, chances are you won’t just stick to one set of shades and colors. You want variety and you want something different for every occasion. This can cause confusion and sometimes you may misplace items or forget you even own them. A good way to manage this if you wear a lot of makeup is to have a makeup bag.

Keep essentials in every makeup bag
Remember that you have already applied your makeup on at home, and the last thing you want to do is carry your entire kit with you. The point of your makeup bag is so that you have the tools to touch up your makeup. Make a habit of only putting in the things that you are wearing, and avoid putting in others for fear that you may need it later on.
Cosmetic organizers
This is every girl’s makeup life made easy. They are designed especially to carry your makeup essentials. There is a special compartment for everything and they are a decent size so you can carry them in your bag with no trouble. Further than that they are available in a variety of types. Some may be specialized for those who only use eye makeup and some lipstick, or for those who use lots of foundation and powders. You will generally be able to find them at any good cosmetic store.
Maintaining your makeup bag
Whether you are using a cosmetic organizer or packing your own makeup bag you have to maintain it. The easiest way to do this is to keep your makeup organized at home. Make sure you keep track of expiry dates. Throw away what is old and what you have used up. Every time you buy a new item throw one away. This will prevent overcrowding.

One essential part of being able to apply makeup neatly is having clean, smooth skin. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque provides just that for those suffering from oily or combination skin.

First, the packaging is pretty simple. It is an eight ounce tube (or perhaps less if you are purchasing the kind that doesn’t have the bonus extra 33%) that is white, except for a wide stripe of green in the center that is a gradient. The product name and description appear in black lettering in the green, and a small gathering of scribbles are located on the bottom of the green stripe. At the very top is “Bonus 33% More” in white lettering and the Queen Helene signature in red right below that.
How well does this product work? Well, pretty darn well. You apply it all over your face (and optionally your neck). You can use a thin layer or a slightly thicker layer. There is no need to cake this on. For me, it takes about 3 inch long squirts. One for each cheek and one to get the rest of my face and take care of any areas I felt were too thinly covered. I have combination skin and large pores on my nose and chin, and blackheads on my nose chin and cheeks. This masque shrunk them and made the blackheads ten times less noticeable! I’d been using Noxzema and was pretty greasy at the time because of it but this helped to hold the oilies at bay.
A note: Don’t shower immediately after this. If you do, it will open your pores right back up again. I discovered this the first time I tried the Mint Julep Masque. There was a large difference still, but its effects were lessened. However, it WAS quite a good change and I was excited to find something that worked after using products that didn’t. The next time, I tried applying it the next morning and the effects have lasted days longer. I’m not sure how long it can last, but I’m on day three and my pores still look fairly small. Also, don’t OVERUSE it. If you do, this can cause a breakout in itself. Once or twice a week is enough and only for fifteen minutes each go round.
