Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque Review
Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque Review
One essential part of being able to apply makeup neatly is having clean, smooth skin. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque provides just that for those suffering from oily or combination skin.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

First, the packaging is pretty simple. It is an eight ounce tube (or perhaps less if you are purchasing the kind that doesn’t have the bonus extra 33%) that is white, except for a wide stripe of green in the center that is a gradient. The product name and description appear in black lettering in the green, and a small gathering of scribbles are located on the bottom of the green stripe. At the very top is “Bonus 33% More” in white lettering and the Queen Helene signature in red right below that.
How well does this product work? Well, pretty darn well. You apply it all over your face (and optionally your neck). You can use a thin layer or a slightly thicker layer. There is no need to cake this on. For me, it takes about 3 inch long squirts. One for each cheek and one to get the rest of my face and take care of any areas I felt were too thinly covered. I have combination skin and large pores on my nose and chin, and blackheads on my nose chin and cheeks. This masque shrunk them and made the blackheads ten times less noticeable! I’d been using Noxzema and was pretty greasy at the time because of it but this helped to hold the oilies at bay.
A note: Don’t shower immediately after this. If you do, it will open your pores right back up again. I discovered this the first time I tried the Mint Julep Masque. There was a large difference still, but its effects were lessened. However, it WAS quite a good change and I was excited to find something that worked after using products that didn’t. The next time, I tried applying it the next morning and the effects have lasted days longer. I’m not sure how long it can last, but I’m on day three and my pores still look fairly small. Also, don’t OVERUSE it. If you do, this can cause a breakout in itself. Once or twice a week is enough and only for fifteen minutes each go round.

Kim Kardashian Makeup

The smoky eye look never looked so good as when on the face of the lovely Kim Kardashian. Getting this look is much simpler than you may think. Start with a very dark smoky shadow in brown, grey or black for her look, and smear it on from lash line to crease, maybe going just over the crease. Once this is applied, line your lids upper and lower with midnight black eyeliner in liquid form – no need to fan out at the ends or anything. Layer two types of mascara like Kim does for a sultry and very plump eyelash look. Kim only uses cream blush for her cheeks, and she’s a big fan of sparkly eyes with matte nude lips. For nude lips, look for a matte lipstick in a nude color to match your lips. This brings out the work you’ve done on your eyes much more. Cream blush on just the apples of the cheeks for a pink glow that compliments her eyes and sets off her nude lips. Try these tips for a truly Kardashian makeup look at your next party.
Invisible Makeup, How To Apply It For Naturally Gorgeous Look

Invisible Makeup – How To Apply It For Naturally Gorgeous Look
Some girls want to look fabulous for parties or for a night out on the town and will often use bright and sparkly colors. Other girls prefer a more natural look, especially for everyday activities. This is where invisible makeup comes in, and you can apply it and look gorgeous in just a few steps.
1) Cleanse: use a gentle cleanser to get rid of the oil, dirt, and dead skin on your face. Try not to use a harsh cleanser that will dry your skin.
2) Tone: using toner on your face will help to keep your skin firm.
3) Moisturize: this will help to keep your skin moist, and provide the perfect platform for smooth, even makeup.
4) Concealer: you can use concealer if you want to hide any imperfections like scars, blemishes or dark spots. This should always be put on before the foundation.
5) Foundation: apply foundation to your face, but make sure that the color matches your skin tone. Blend it in until it almost disappears.
6) Blush: blush is meant to add a bit of color to your skin and make you look more alive. Less is more, so use it sparingly on your cheeks.
7) Eye shadow: try to find a natural color that is close to your skin tone like brown or beige.
8. Powder: use translucent powder to dust your face. This will help to create a more natural look.
9) Lipstick: try and pick a shade of lipstick that is close to the natural color of your lips. If you are using lip liner as well it should be the same shade.
10) Eyeliner: if you are going to use eyeliner, try and do so subtly on the outer half of your eyelid. You may use white, black or brown to look more natural.
How To Apply Blush The Right Way, Summer 2010
How To Apply Blush The Right Way, Summer 2010
The rules for applying blush have come a long way since its invention. Women went from wearing it in a distinct circle on the apples of the cheeks, to wearing it up into their hairline, and even to wearing it so barely there or so dark it was almost useless. Applying blush can be easy, flattering, and even fun, however! It just takes knowing the latest fashions, your own skin tone, and how to apply it so that it looks tasteful and flattering, not tasteless and embarrassing.
Deciding on a blush is at least half the battle of the blush problems. Many experts say to try and match your blush color to the color of your natural cheeks after you have been exercising or when you’re flushed with embarrassment. Another good tip is to try and match the color to your lips, or just go with your skin tone. Dark skin likes reds and apricots, and fair skin is better with rose and peach.
The final half of the battle is applying it correctly. It is important first of all to get a brush that is appropriate for your face. Use a full size blush brush to get the maximum coverage, and apply the brush only to the apples of your cheeks. NEVER blend the blush up into your side burns or hair line, as this can make the face look unnaturally stretched and lengthened, and also look funny when your hair is the color of your blush. Go for a natural, healthy glow.
Makeup Application Some Easy Steps For Flawless Look

Makeup Application – Some Easy Steps For Flawless Look Summer, Fall 2010
When it comes to makeup, some girls want to go all out and look stunning while sporting all sorts of different shades and glittery finishes, but then there are many girls who simply long for a flawless complexion. If you find yourself in this position then all you have to do is follow a few easy steps to get this right.
1. Cleansing: cleansing is important for two reasons. Firstly, it will help to get rid of residual oil and dirt on your face to ensure your pores don’t become clogged and you don’t breakout. Secondly, it allows for makeup to be applied smoothly and evenly. You can simply use your daily cleanser for this.
2. Moisturizing: moisturizing is important for smooth application. If your skin is dry your makeup will look flaky. If you have naturally oily skin then get an oil-free moisturizer. This will keep your skin moist and supple.
3. Priming: a few minutes after you have applied the moisturizer you can apply the primer. This is done to give your skin a matte effect, and to ready your skin for the makeup.
4. Concealing: concealing is great for covering up pimples or dark spots that you don’t want to show through. Dab some on your skin and gently blend it in, being careful not to wipe it off.
5. Foundation: whether you are using liquid or powder foundation, make sure that you pick a color that matches your skin tone. Foundations that are either too dark or too light are very noticeable because it doesn’t match the rest of your skin.
6. Optional extras: now that you have a flawless complexion you can decide whether you want to add other makeup. Some eyeliner, blush and lip-gloss are great if you want to keep that natural look.
